What does it mean to be Agile? If you ask someone in your organization what Agile is, oftentimes they may respond with ‘Agile is a buzzword’ or they may say ‘It is working in two-week sprints.’ Both responses are incorrect, but do you know why? Join me to learn more about these common misconceptions and what we can do as Agilists to improve the message behind Agile.
Guest Speaker: Britt Smith
Britt was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. Home of the Kentucky Derby and some of the finest bourbon in the world. She began her career in technology, building laptops for HP but soon discovered her joy for the project management space and transitioned into an IT Project Manager, leading infrastructure and software implementations for a large healthcare company. Over the span of her career, Britt evolved from Project Management to Program and Portfolio Management, Agile Coaching, and Senior Management. Leading and supervising multi-phased portfolios, delivering multiple complex solutions with an emphasis on Digital Transformation, Organizational Development, and Support. Today she partners with executive leadership to execute strategic success plans to improve employee’s work-life balance and overall customer satisfaction through fostering new processes that encourage and support a true growth mindset. In addition, she provides career coaching to professionals in the project management and Agile space.
